Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often from prospective students and their families.

When do admissions open and close?

Admissions typically open early in the year and close before the academic session begins in October. For 2026/2027, the first round closes 30 June 2026 and the final round closes 15 September 2026.

Do I need to be Catholic to apply?

No. CATUC welcomes students of all faiths and traditions.

Can I apply with pending GCE results?

Yes, you may submit a provisional application; final admission is confirmed once results are received.

How do I access the application portal?

Click 'Start your application' in the Application Portal section above, or visit /admissions/apply. You'll receive an Applicant ID by email after submitting.

How do I prove payment of the application fee?

Pay at any official CATUC Bamenda bank account using your Applicant ID as reference, then keep the bank deposit slip — you may be asked to present it at interview or enrolment.

What happens after I submit my application?

You'll receive an acknowledgement email with your Applicant ID. The Admissions Office reviews your file and, if shortlisted, invites you to an interview or written assessment. Successful candidates receive an official admission letter with enrolment instructions.

Where do I submit my printed application form?

Hand-deliver the completed form and supporting documents to the Office of the Registrar at the CATUC Bamenda main campus, Big Mankon, during working hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Can someone else deliver my application on campus for me?

Yes. A parent, guardian, or representative may submit your printed application and documents on your behalf. They should carry a copy of your bank deposit slip and your contact details in case the Registrar's Office needs clarification.

Can I apply to more than one programme?

Yes, but you must indicate a clear first and second choice on the application form. A single application fee covers both choices within the same level (HND, Undergraduate, Masters, or PhD).

Is the application fee refundable?

No. The application fee is non-refundable, whether or not you are offered admission.

When will I receive my admission decision?

Decisions are communicated by email and SMS within a few weeks of your interview, and published in batches on the CATUC website and notice boards.

Is on-campus housing available?

Limited on-campus and partner accommodation options are available. Contact admissions for details.
