The Mission of the department is to deliver Microfinance management programmes to students at the graduate and the undergraduate levels in order to meet the needs of both Public and Private sectors of Cameroon’s economy as well as those of Africa and beyond.
Program Objectives
The programme is aimed at giving students an overview of the key issues involved in the design, management, and evaluation of Microfinance institutions and programmes that target low-income micro-entrepreneurs and households. It provides practical skills and critical thinking about the major debates in the industry for those considering a career in Microfinance, or those interested in bottom-of-the-pyramid approaches to doing business with dual social and financial goals, i.e., doing well while doing good.
