Mission

The scientific and technological explosion which is shaping the world today is under- pinned by subtle mathematical applications, some of which are founded on deep mathematical theories. The Department of Mathematics, in its Master of Science degree program, aims to introduce and develop in its students, abilities that prepare them as future participants in the scientific and technological progress of society.

Program Objectives

The Masters degree program is designed to give the students the opportunity to deepen and broaden their knowledge in core areas of Mathematics –pure and applied. It is aimed at offering to students both the breadth and depth of knowledge required in their area of interest and to bring to them possible extensions of their areas of interests. The ultimate goal is, of course, to give its graduates excellent qualifications leading to the PhD degree program, as well as, to professions in Teaching, Business (including Financial Institutions), Industry and Technology.
