APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Admission Guidelines for undergraduate Degree Programs

I. General Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission into the University, every student must fulfill the following requirements:

A pass in the GCE Ordinary Level or Probatoire

A pass in English Language at the GCE Ordinary Level or proof of Proficiency in the English Language from an accredited Language Learning Centre or the University Intensive English Language Course.

A pass in the GCE Advanced Level subjects or a pass in BAC

- A photocopy of birth Certificate.
- A photocopy of 'O' Level and 'A' Level certificates or slips

- A receipt of registration of 15,000frs
- 1,000frs for a passport picture (Taken on campus).

- Students with foreign certificates will be assisted to obtain equivalents to their certificates from MINESUP, Yaounde.
-Students applying for philosophy shall certify all their documents and slips.

MIDSTREAM ADMISSIONS

  1. Students shall not be admitted into the final year of any degree program.
  2. Only students from known and credible universities whose transcripts have been confirmed by their universities shall be eligible for admission.
  3. The admission of such students shall depend on the recommendation of the Department to which they are applying, and each favorable recommendation shall be accompanied by a table of Equivalence for courses which they have validated in their former university as well as the courses which they would need to do in CATUC Bamenda. 

ADMISSIONS INTO GRADUATE Programs

I. General Requirements (For the Masters Degree)

To be eligible for admission into any graduate program in CATUC Bamenda, every student must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Applicants must be holders of a Bachelors Degree from the University or any other recognized University.
  2. The Grade Point Average (GPA) of the candidate shall be 2.5/4 or higher.
  3. For candidates with five or more years of work experience, a lower GPA might be acceptable, especially if their work experience is relevant to the field of study.
  4. A certified copy of birth certificate (certified by a Divisional Officer).
  5. A certified copy of Degree certificate or Attestation and Transcript (Certified by the issuing University).
  6. A receipt of registration of 20,000 FCFA.
  7. 1,000frs for a passport picture(Taken on campus).
  8. Two recommendation letters (one from current place of work and one from former university)
  9. Students with foreign certificates and degrees will be assistes to obtain equivalents for their certificates from MINESUP , Yaounde.
  10. Students applying for Health economics programmes should not certify their certificates and attestations.

I. General Requirements For the PhD Degree

To be eligible for admission into the University, every student must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Applicants must be holders of a Masters Degree from a recognized University.
  2.  The Grade Point Average (GPA) of the candidate should be 3.00/4 or higher.
