CATUC Receives a Consignment of Microscopes and Books

Receiving gifts for CATUC
The Archbishop of Bamenda and Chancellor of the Catholic University of Cameroon, CATUC, Bamenda, His Grace Cornelius F. Esua, received a consignment of Microscopes and Books donated to CATUC by a group of colleges in the District of Saint Anthonio in the USA. The gifts were brought to CATUC by Sr. Gemma Abonge. These gifts she said came principally from St. Philip’s College of the Saint Anthonio District of the USA.
Also present at the reception ceremony were members of the CATUC administration, including: the VC Fr. Michael Niba; the DVCA Prof. Paul N. Nkwi and the DREGI Fr. Anthony Yilaka. They were all very delighted and thanked the donors for such a wonderful gesture. His Grace Cornelius F. Esua was particularly grateful and said CATUC will always appreciate this gesture and any future gestures of this form. He also thanked Sr. Gemma for thinking of CATUC when this opportunity came to her.
The VC said such gifts ties down perfectly with the vision of CATUC as they will help reinforce teaching and research in CATUC and also aligns well with CATUC’s Cooperation policy.
Among the gifts were 15 high quality light microscopes and many recently published books especially in life sciences and medicine. Some of these books include :
