Best Ever CATUC Models’ Competition

The final event took place on the 19th of May 2018, following the finals of sports competitions which took place in the morning of the same day. This year, Candy Fresh were winners of the Volleyball competition while Troopers FC took home the football trophy.
The modeling competition itself started at about 2:30 pm with prayers led by Fr. Anthony Yilaka, and was closely followed by an opening speech by the Vice Chancellor, and then a word of encouragement to the contestants from Miss Northwest Region.

This competition had four phases, as follows:
• A quiz scored on 60 and taken by the contestants on Friday the 18th of May 2018
• Online voting by the entire University community which started on the 10th of May 2018 and scored on 10. This was done on a platform designed by some Engineering Level Four students as their own contribution towards the event.
• Presentation of their projects scored on 15
• And the parade scored on 15

The panel did a terrific job, and at the end of the ceremony, Mr. Wancha Sneddon of the Faculty of Science (Microbiology Level 2) emerged as Mr. CATUC for the 2017/2018; Mr. Ngontoloum Ribar Bonheur of the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences Level 1) was First Runner Up and Mr. Njobe Kelvin of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Geography Level 1) came in as Second Runner Up. Miss Sunjo Tessy of FBMS (Level I) was elected Miss CATUC for 2017/2018, while Miss Seraphine Asheri (FBMS Management Level 2) and Miss Ndikum Sally (Civil Engineering Level 2) were elected the First and Second Runners Up respectively.
